Training plans and documentation
When you know what you do, your animal can do what you want.
You might get to read this sentence pretty often here, because it just can't be emphasized enough: The more precisely we know our goal and the way there, the faster our animal can walk that path with us.
In module 5 we start to look for highly effective ways to plan and document our training as both will help you and your horse to have even more fun and success on the way.
A good training plan describes all steps from current to future status. The more precisely we know where we are aiming at, the sooner we will notice when our training goes astray. We then can countersteer without any problem to stay on our path.
Furthermore, a training plan contains every single training step we take to reach our goal. With them planned in advance, you can focus on implementing your plan when training your horse and make the right decisions. That's why we also consider problems that may eventually arise as well as their solutions. Thus, you will be able to react competently.
The seminar gives space for drawing up your own plans and check them for their practicability. This also goes for the documentation. You can keep records of many things but not all of them develop your abilities as a trainer further, necessarily. Therefore, we will look into advantages and disadvantages and check them for their adaptability. With the help of these documentations, you will be able to reflect and improve your own training as they give you important information not only on the animal's progress but also on yourself as a trainer.
